Mawdsleys helps client deliver major project to large chain of opticians
Mawdsleys helps client deliver major project to large chain of opticians 25th October 2023

We’re delighted with the feedback that our over-labelling and MPW (Mawdsleys Pre Wholesale) teams received from Thea Pharmaceuticals when they delivered on a major project for a large chain of opticians, despite the goal posts shifting a few times.

Thea, a client of Mawdsleys 3PL division, MPW, needed Mawdsleys Over Labelling team to undertake some work for their customer – changing packaging, banding products together, undertaking all the necessary regulatory requirements, and delivering to 997 stores nationwide.

At the very last minute changes were required which needed much more work, and Mawdsleys worked relentlessly to make sure they delivered on this, as well as making sure the original deadline was not missed.

Tom Bailey, Commercial Manager at Thea Pharmaceuticals said “We cannot thank Mawdsleys enough for their efforts. Despite the brief changing on a number of occasions, Linzi Mitchell (MPW) and Suzanne Edwards (Mawdsleys Over labelling) worked really hard and under pressure to deliver the stock on time to the customer and enabled a launch to all of the UK stores. They were always polite and a pleasure to deal with even when sometimes we were asking the impossible. I really appreciated their help and support.”

Darren Belcher, Development Director for MPW says “We were delighted to have been able to support Thea with their customer’s very specific needs and are proud of how our Over-labelling team and MPW team worked together to make it all possible. We look forward to supporting Thea with many more projects like this in our ongoing role as their Third Party Logistics provider.”
