Mawdsleys secures compassionate access for critically ill patient
Mawdsleys secures compassionate access for critically ill patient 12th June 2025

We are extremely proud of our patient-centric unrivalled service at Mawdsleys.

Over a recent bank holiday, our unlicensed team received an urgent, time-sensitive order request from a leading NHS children’s hospital in the North West to secure compassionate access to a medicine on clinical trial in North America for a critically ill patient. The team ably navigated the regulatory complexities of importing a new medication, the entire process of sourcing the medicine to delivery took just 6 working days and crucially, we got the medicine to the patient quickly and safely.

The hospital thanked us for our “outstanding responses, knowledge, support and persistence”.
